You cannot ship Gift Cards to PO Boxes, APO or FPO addresses, or international addresses.

Delivery time depends on the shipping method selected. You can opt for Rush (2-3 business days), Expedited (3-4 business days), or Standard (5-6 business days).

Why doesn’t my American Express user ID work on AmexGiftCard.com?

AmexGiftCard.com is a separate website with its own user ID and password, and therefore your American Express user ID cannot be used to sign in to the site. Once you create your user ID and password on AmexGiftCard.com, you can sign in to the website and view past orders placed after July 17, 2018, modify personal information, and create an address book for future orders.

How do I activate my Amex Gift Card?

If your Gift Card was purchased at AmexGiftCard.com, in most cases, the Card is ready for use immediately. You may activate your Card by signing in to https://balance.amexgiftcard.com with your Card details or by calling the toll-free number listed on the back of your Card. You will need to provide your Card number, valid thru date, and security code located on the back of your Card

We recommend that you sign your name on the back of the Gift Card, and record the following information in case your Gift Card is ever lost or stolen: Gift Card number, 4-digit Card Identification Code on the front of the Card, 3-digit Card Security Code located on the back of the Card, Customer Service phone number

What do I do if my Gift Card is lost or stolen?

If you believe that your Card has been lost or stolen, you need to notify us immediately by calling 1-888-846-4308. You will be asked to provide us with the Card number and other identifying information. We cannot provide a replacement Card unless you provide your Card number and all other requested information. If our records show a balance remaining on the Card, we will cancel the lost Card and issue a replacement Card to you in an amount equal to the remaining balance.

How do I use my American Express Gift Card to shop in-store?

1. Be sure to know your balance before you shop. Check your balance at https://balance.amexgiftcard.com or call 1-888-846-4308. To use your Gift Card along with another form of payment, just tell the cashier how much you want to apply to each payment type.

Please note, not all merchants allow split payment transactions and some transaction types require a hold of up to 20% above the purchase amount.2. Swipe your Card and select Credit on the keypad.

Your American Express eGift Card can also be used in-store to pay when added to digital wallets: Apple Pay®, Samsung Pay, and Google Pay.
